📢 NSW Residents: Help Us Secure the Museum's Future! 🙏
This photo shows one of our cherished displays as it once was—before it had to be dismantled. Without secure site ownership, the Museum will not survive. We’re calling on NSW residents to sign our parliamentary petition, urging the government to facilitate site ownership for the Museum, preserving this vital part of Australian history and ensuring it thrives for future generations. All residents of NSW, including those under 18, can sign the petition here: www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/la/pages/epetition-details.aspx?q=iRYZVofsgPOgBsMVEG9Sag Your signature can help save the Museum—thank you for your support! Without action, the Museum and its legacy could be lost forever. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen.

Sad news, wishing all the best for your future endeavors Kristie.Thank you and farewell!
After eight years of delivering my award winning guided walks and wildlife encounters I’ve made the difficult decision to call it a day with our last tour this Sunday 1 December 2024!
Decisions like this are never easy but to be honest… the restrictions placed on my business and community of Wolgan Valley due to the inadequate temporary access road (Donkey Steps) in and out of the valley makes it incredibly difficult to grow as a business and contribute fully to the Lithgow regions burgeoning tourism industry.
I have been so fortunate to play host to guests from all around the world, from here in Australia and even locals who all have a shared love for our natural environment and unique native wildlife. Without them this business would not exist.
These last eight years would not be possible without the support and encouragement of my husband John, son Seamus, my parents/in-laws, friends and our community of Wolgan Valley. I would also like to thank the wonderful team at Ecotourism Australia, Quality Tourism Australia, NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service Parks, Mingaan Wiradjuri, Seven Valleys Tourism, Blue Mountains Tourism, Destination NSW and Tourism Australia for their ongoing support and assistance.
And I can’t forget my fellow business owners here in the Greater Blue Mountains region in particular Lavendar Hill Graze, CDV Design, our beautiful hosts at the “Corn Paddock” – the Coates-Denmead Family, and all the incredible accommodation providers. Without you my business would not have seen the success that it has.
So as you plan your next escape, I encourage you to experience the magic of Wolgan Valley here in the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area! The closure of Wolgan Road has brought many challenges which we continue to endure, but your support can help keep our valleys ecotourism industry alive. Consider staying with our dear friends at Tiny Two Wolgan Valley, where architecturally-designed eco-friendly stays connect you with nature, or the Newnes Hotel Wilderness Cabins, and historic gem offering cozy off-grid accommodation.
Thank you all for your support and the incredible memories. I’ll cherish them for life!
